The BOARD OF TRUSTEES, VERMONT STATE COLLEGES has reached a consent decree with the FCC to resolve public file violations at CASTLETON STATE COLLEGE student-run WIUV/CASTLETON, VT.
The licensee will pay $1,000 to settle the issue, involving missing issues/programs lists up to 2013 (the public file was destroyed by flood in 2009, and after the station relocated, student volunteers were given "no clear responsibility or routine... to prepare or review the issues/programs lists"), and will institute a compliance plan. The penalty was issued under the policy of going light on first-time documentation violations by student-run stations.
