WIHT/Washington, D.C. Turns Into 'Carly 99.5' To Find Bone Marrow Donors
June 10, 2015 at 3:23 PM (PT)
iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 WIHT (HOT 99.5)/WASHINGTON, D.C. will change its name to "CARLY 99.5" on THURSDAY (6/11) to raise awareness for the story of CARLY NGUYEN, a 16-year-old senior at ELIZABETH SETON HIGH SCHOOL in BLADENSBURG, MD who has leukemia and is having trouble finding a bone marrow donor.
To help CARLY find a donor match, the station will be setup in front of the iHEARTRADIO building at 1801 ROCKVILLE PIKE with cheek swabs to see if interested listeners who come by are her match. They'll be swabbing anyone who comes by between 3-7p.
If you can't make it here and would still like to be swabbed to see if you are a match for NGUYEN or someone else, go to DELETEBLOODCANCER.ORG, or contact DAVEY at email@example.com to request a swab kit.
