Univision News Names Jaime Gabaldoni Senior Editor Auto

UNIVISION NEWS has appointed JAIME GABALDONI Senior Editor Auto, leading the creation of cutting-edge, SPANISH-language content, especially video, tailored to auto owners and shoppers, reporting to UNIVISION COMMUNICATIONS VP Digital News BORJA ECHEVARRIA.
HISPANICS represent a key driver of growth in the U.S. auto industry, with 58% of the total growth in new vehicle sales compared to the same period in 2014, according to IHS AUTOMOTIVE driven by POLK. New vehicle sales to HISPANICS increased 10%, while the total market grew by only 2%.
GABALDONI brings to UCI a wide-ranging skillset from his international travels, hands-on experience at product model launches and auto shows, and his ability to transform vast knowledge and passion into videos.
Prior to joining UCI, he served as Senior Editor, Auto, at TERRA USA, where he led the editorial team in the creation of automotive industry content and online outreach strategy, managing social platforms to develop and maintain direct contact with auto enthusiasts and consumers. Prior to that, GABALDONI was chief editor at AUTOMUNDO PRODUCTIONS, where he oversaw production management of their local and international TV shows as well as website, magazine and ad sales.

GABALDONI is a graduate of FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing; he also holds a degree in Chemistry from INSTITUTO SUPERIOR TECNOLOGICO DE LIMA-PERU.
