MILWAUKEE BREWERS Hall of Fame radio voice BOB UECKER will sit out TUESDAY's game as a precaution after spending the night in the hospital.
UECKER, 81, was struck in the forehead with a batted ball during batting practice before MONDAY night's game but attempted to broadcast the game on SCRIPPS News-Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE and the BREWERS' radio network, leaving for treatment; he was diagnosed with a mild concussion and kept overnight at FROEDTERT HOSPITAL as a precaution, and will be kept home from TONIGHT's game against KANSAS CITY at MILLER PARK as well. JEFF LEVERING, UECKER's regular fill-in, will sit in for UECKER alongside JOE BLOCK for tonight's game.
