CBS RADIO Top 40 KMVQ (997 NOW)/SAN FRANCISCO has just launched the new PULSE format on its HD2 channel and will also be available on the RADIO.COM app. PULSE, standing for “pride plus music plus community,” will offer a mix of dance, electronic and pop hits that reflect the LGBTQ community.
99.7 [NOW!]’s FERNANDO and GREG and ST. JOHN will be the on-air DJs.
“PULSE is all about celebrating pride and community through a love of music," CBS RADIO/SAN FRANCISCO SVP/Programming and Music Initiatives and KMVQ PD MICHAEL MARTIN said. "We’re thrilled to make PULSE a destination for new and classic dance music, surrounded by the unique lifestyle and culture that only the LGBTQ community can offer.”
“So excited for the beginning of something very special," FERNANDO said. "PULSE is bringing our diverse community together through the powerful force of music, and I can’t wait for everyone to feel it!”
“I'm excited to be a part of the launch for PULSE bringing dance music back to the community," GREG added. "PULSE will be a place of great diversity, pride, and fun, 365 days a year.“
"Only need one word to describe this station … FIERCE!" added ST. JOHN. "Totally excited to bring great dance music and community to THE BAY AREA (and the world with RADIO.COM)! PULSE!"
