Former Major Leaguer, TV/Radio Baseball Analyst Darryl Hamilton Victim Of Apparent Murder/Suicide

Former major league outfielder and MLB NETWORK analyst DARRYL HAMILTON was found dead at a home in PEARLAND, TX, the victim of an apparent murder-suicide committed by his girlfriend MONICA JORDAN. The bodies of HAMILTON, shot multiple times, and JORDAN, with an apparently self-inflicted fatal wound, were found in separate rooms in the house; the couple's son, 13 months old, was unhurt.
HAMILTON, 50, played for the MILWAUKEE BREWERS, TEXAS RANGERS, SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS, COLORADO ROCKIES, and NEW YORK METS before retiring in 2001 and moving into broadcasting, working at MLB RADIO until 2006; he later served as a color commentator on COMPASS MEDIA NETWORKS' out-of-market coverage of LOS ANGELES ANGELS games, an analyst for MLB NETWORK, and a fill-in analyst on MILWAUKEE BREWERS radio broadcasts, as well as appearing on GOW Sports KFNC and KGOW-A/HOUSTON.
