N.Y. Philharmonic, Radiolab, RTÉ Win Grand Awards At New York Festivals International Radio Program Awards

The NEW YORK FESTIVALS International Radio Program Awards winners for 2015 have been announced, with the Grand Awards going to the NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC (for "THE NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC THIS WEEK"), NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK's RADIOLAB (for "60 Words"), and TBI MEDIA (for "D-DAY: 70 Years On," produced with SNAPPIN' TURTLE PRODUCTIONS); Broadcaster of the Year going to IRELAND national broadcaster RTÉ for the third time; and TBI MEDIA UK also taking Production Company of the Year honors among its seven Gold and two Silver trophies and one Finalist Certificate.
Among other winners, the CBC's "IDEAS" took home four Gold trophies, two Silver, two Bronze and a Finalist Certificate; NATIONAL PRESS CLUB, BROOK LAPPING PRODUCTIONS, ACCESSIBLE MEDIA INC., and the AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORP. won Golds for history programming; and Breaking News and Ongoing News Gold winners included W RADIO COLOMBIA, the BBC, and RADIO RIVADAVIA ARGENTINA.
