CRAWFORD BROADCASTING News-Talk KLZ-A/DENVER KEN CLARK, KRIS COOK, and RANDY CORPORON have quit the station, complaining that they were told they could not book former Rep. TOM TANCREDO (R-CO) as a guest.
Station Manager DON CRAWFORD JR. told the DENVER POST's LYNN BARTELS that he did not censor the hosts' shows and had only ordered a "freeze" on booking TANCREDO until CRAWFORD could talk to him about the conflict between TANCREDO and COLORADO Republican Party Chairman STEVE HOUSE, saying that he "wanted to understand (TANCREDO’s) motivation and why he was part of this mutiny or this cloak-and-dagger approach and why he wanted Mr. HOUSE to resign." CRAWFORD said that the shows were pulled from the air when he heard CORPORON talking with TANCREDO in violation of the ban.
