ENTERCOM News-Talk WRKO-A/BOSTON makes its lineup shuffle official, moving morning host JEFF KUHNER to the noon-3p (ET) weekday slot being vacated by the dropping of RUSH LIMBAUGH's PREMIERE NETWORKS show and adding a morning show produced in conjunction with the BOSTON GLOBE's BOSTON.COM website, hosted by former FOX affiliate WFXT-TV (FOX 25) anchor and WRKO "THE FINANCIAL EXCHANGE" co-host KIM CARRIGAN. The moves will take place MONDAY (6/29).
CARRIGAN's morning show, "THE BOSTON.COM MORNING SHOW," will include material from the website and ABC NEWS RADIO, and will be co-hosted by former sister Sports WEEI-F personality JON METERPAREL and produced by DAVID CULLINANE. With the moves comes a new slogan for the station, "The Talk of BOSTON."
VP/Market Manager PHIL ZACHARY said, “On the cusp of the 2016 election cycle, it’s very clear traditional Talk radio is facing strong headwinds. As ideological lines blur and new technologies afford almost limitless tractability in audio news options, now is the time to deliver highly targeted, local content that’s unavailable to consumers anywhere else. This new lineup, anchored by our alliance with NEW ENGLAND’s second largest news website, squarely positions WRKO for the next decade.”
