Melissa Block To Exit 'All Things Considered' For Special Correspondent Duties At NPR News

NPR "ALL THINGS CONSIDERED" Senior Host MELISSA BLOCK is leaving the show and will serve as Special Correspondent for NPR NEWS, the network announced TODAY (6/29). BLOCK, who will also guest-host for various shows and will develop podcasts, will step away from "ATC" after AUGUST 14th's show.
BLOCK said, "These last 12 years hosting ALL THINGS CONSIDERED have been a journalist's dream. I'm immensely proud of the work we've done together, of the audience growth we've seen over those years, and of the deep connections I've made with so many listeners. I look forward to continuing to enhance NPR's core journalistic mission and reputation in my new role."
