The Grateful Dead Celebrate 50 Years

To commemorate its 50th anniversary the original members of the GRATEFUL DEAD did shows at  LEVI’S STADIUM in SANTA CLARA, CA LAST WEEK (6/27-6/28) and will do three shows  in CHICAGO this week (7/3-7/5), as part of their “Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of GRATEFUL DEAD” run.

This will mark the original members' last-ever performances together. The band is being joined by TREY ANASTASIO (guitar), JEFF CHIMENTI (keyboards), and BRUCE HORNSBY (piano) .  However, there are already rumors that that THE DEAD has decided to do a fall tour. Stay tuned

CUMULUS Triple A KFOG/SAN FRANCISCO did a number of special things around the two shows at LEVI’s STADIUM:

* Before each show on Shakedown Street and at the Grateful Tailgate Party at the HILTON SANTA CLARA there was a station-sponsored photo booth, and prizes given away including The Best Of The GRATEFUL DEAD 2-Disc Set and screening passes to see "The GRATEFUL DEAD: Fare Thee Well.”

* Then after each concert, the station aired the entire performance
