WNYC/New York Asks For Listener Reports On How Weather Affects Their Jobs
July 1, 2015 at 4:40 AM (PT)
NEW YORK PUBLIC RADIO News-Talk WNYC-A-F/NEW YORK is asking listeners to help it report the weather in an untraditional way. While many radio and TV stations solicit listener "weather station" reports, WNYC is asking for reports that explain how the weather affects people's jobs in a practical way.
In an online form, the station is asking NEW YORKERS, "Do you have a job that's affected by the weather? Do you reach for a weather app or poke your head outside first thing each morning, wondering if you'll need to pack a poncho or lather on some SPF 50? Does lightning spell trouble? WNYC wants you. We're looking for people to help us cover the weather in a way that goes beyond degrees and gets to the practical side of how weather affects every aspect of our lives. Sign up below, and you could wind up chatting about the weather with SOTERIOS JOHNSON on MORNING EDITION. And stay cool."
