GEORGIA-CAROLINA RADIOCASTING CO., LLC is selling Silent WMJE-A (the former WSGC-A) and W287CM/ELBERTON, GA to J. SCOTT SMITH's RADIO ELBERTON, LLC for $100,000. The filing with the FCC included Country WSGC/TIGNALL, GA as part of the sale, but GEORGIA-CAROLINA's ART SUTTON advises ALL ACCESS that the inclusion was due to a glitch in the FCC database and that WSGC is not included in the deal. SMITH's ROME RADIO, LLC is also selling Country WSRM (SOUTH 93.5)/COOSA, GA to ROME RADIO PARTNERS, LLC, of which he owns 19%, for $200,000 in a secured promissory note.

Also, the FCC's Media Bureau has opened a Threshold Qualifications Window for Tribal applicants for Channel 258C2 at ROUGH ROCK, AZ. The window runs through AUGUST 10th. The NAVAJO NATION filed the petition to add the allotment at ROUGH ROCK and has been found eligible to apply.
And the Commission has also proposed to allot Channel 286A at GRANT, OK and has issued an Order to Show Cause why it shouldn't downgrade LIBERMAN Ethnic KZMP-F (104.9 FUNASIA)/PILOT POINT-DALLAS, TX on a first-adjacent FM channel to its previous Class C1 status. KZMP had a construction permit to upgrade from Class C1 to Class C0, granted in 2008 and expired in 2011, when LIBERMAN allowed the permit to expire and then filed a new application for the upgrade permit, which was granted. That permit expired in 2008, when KATHERINE PYEATT filed for the GRANT allotment and a construction permit for a Class A station the day after LIBERMAN once again filed for a new construction permit for the upgrade.
