Condolences to family and friends of former radio station owner TONY OCEPEK, who died JULY 3rd at 76 in MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, OH, according to an obituary in the WILLOUGHBY (OH) NEWS-HERALD.
OCEPEK, who began his career with WESTINGHOUSE BROADCASTING, was an owner of WPVL-A/PAINESVILLE and a partner of WALT TIBURSKI in WIN COMMUNICATIONS, which owned WQAL/CLEVELAND and other stations, and a partner with CARL HIRSCH and HICKS, MUSE, TATE AND FURST in OMNIAMERICA, which owned several stations including WMJI, WMMS, and WHK-A/CLEVELAND and other stations in OHIO and FLORIDA before selling to CHANCELLOR MEDIA in 1997.
