Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran Lead MTV Video Music Award Noms; Miley Cyrus To Host

The 2015 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS have been a social media event long before the Internet, and this year should be no different, with MILEY CYRUS, who twerked her way into the public consciousness alongside ROBIN THICKE two years ago and brought home her own Moonman for last year's "Wrecking Ball," hosting the event.  The show takes place SUNDAY, AUGUST 30th, and will be broadcast on MTV live from the MICROSOFT THEATER in downtown LOS ANGELES.

TAYLOR SWIFT ("Bad Blood"), with nine, and ED SHEERAN ("Thinking Out Loud"), with six, scored the most nominations, and both are up for VIDEO OF THE YEAR alongside BEYONCE ("7/11"), MARK RONSON f/BRUNO MARS ("Uptown Funk") and KENDRICK LAMAR, who is nominated twice, once for his own "Alright," the other for his collaboration with SWIFT ("Bad Blood").

Starting today, fans can vote for categories such as VIDEO OF THE YEAR, BEST MALE VIDEO, BEST FEMALE VIDEO and more on vma.mtv.com.
