iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KNRS-A-F (TALK RADIO 105.7 FM 570 AM)/SALT LAKE CITY has announced that it will make its move from 105.7 FM to 105.9 FM on OCTOBER 8th. The station remains at the same location and power (25,000 watts), licensed to CENTERVILLE, UT.
The move is one of several frequency shifts coming to the UTAH airwaves, with iHEARTMEDIA Rock KAAZ (ROCK 106.5) moving to 106.7 GM on AUGUST 6th, also remaining at 25,000 watts at the same location. KAAZ's move will allow ALPHA MEDIA Spanish Hits KBMG (LATINO 106.1)/EVANSTON, WY-SALT LAKE CITY to move to 106.3 FM, continuing at 89,000 watts; KNRS-F's move and Country KDWY (THE DIAMOND)/DIAMONDVILLE, WY's move from 105.3 to 105.5 FM will allow SLC DIVESTITURE TRUST II Country KAUU-F (THE EAGLE)/MANTI, UT to move from 48,000 watts on MOUNT BALDY, rimshotting SALT LAKE from well south of the market, to AMERICAN FORK, UT with 15,000 watts on 105.1 FM at the FARNSWORTH PEAK antenna farm with coverage of SALT LAKE CITY. Previous moves saw SLC DIVESTITURE TRUST II Regional Mexican KEGH (LA RAZA)/WOODRUFF, UT (in the process of being sold to AASAA MEDIA LLC) move from 106.9 FM to 107.1 FM, and EMF Contemporary Christian KKLV (K-LOVE)/OREM's move to KAYSVILLE, enabling BROADWAY MEDIA Top 40 KUDD (MIX 107.9)/ROY, UT to move to RANDOLPH, UT and KEGH's former site.
The moves were approved by the FCC in 2008 as part of a very complicated series of frequency, location, and class changes involving 31 stations plus seven allocations across four states.
