SPANISH BROADCASTING SYSTEM Spanish Contemporary WPAT (AMOR 93.1FM)/NEW YORK wakeup star LUIS JIMENEZ is gone after not quite six months at the station.
The show, "Sin Censura con LUIS JIMENEZ" ("LUIS JIMENEZ - Uncensored"), was apparently too censored for JIMENEZ, who took to TWITTER last FRIDAY (7/17) writing, "El show se llama "sin censura" y me censuraron. La verdadera libertad de expresión solo existe en el internet con tu propio canal," which roughly translates to Tthe show is called 'uncensored' and was censured. True freedom of expression exists only on the Internet with your own channel."
JIMINEZ took a shot at his employers, tweeting, "No trabajo mas para 'Hitler' wannabes. Cuento con ustedes para lanzar Luis Network," which roughly translates, "No more work for 'Hitler' wannabes. I count on you to release Luis Network."
WPAT was JIMINEZ's third stop in NEW YORK, having previously hosted wakeups on sister WSKQ (MEGA 97.9 FM) before leaving for crosstown UNIVISION Tropical WXNY before returning to SBS in FEBRUARY.
