ANGELA HILL is exiting middays 1-4p (CT) on ENTERCOM News-Talk WWL-A-F/NEW ORLEANS, the station announced TODAY. HILL will be replaced in the slot on MONDAY (7/24) by 8p-midnight host and market veteran SCOOT.
HILL said, “It’s been an amazing experience, one I will always cherish, but it’s time to do other things. I’ve learned so much. This is a great team … smart, smart radio people, who’ve shown me nothing but love and support. This truly is a family I will always be a part of WWL Radio; and WWL will always be a part of me. And, one thing I’m thrilled about…SCOOT. They couldn’t choose a better guy!”
VP/GM CHRIS CLAUS said, “This community loves ANGELA HILL. We’re grateful for the institutional knowledge, dignity and pure work ethic she brought to WWL. But ANGELA’s ready to move on, and we’re happy to be in a position where another iconic NEW ORLEANS talent can slide right in. SCOOT is a household name, and he’s no stranger to that timeslot. Listeners heard SCOOT just about every day on ANGELA’s show … now they can join him afternoons 1-4.”
The station is replacing SCOOT's night show with a second evening sports show hosted by KRISTIAN GARIC and T-BOB HEBERT, moving over from mornings at sister Sports WWWL-A (3WL), which will add more NBC SPORTS RADIO programming to its lineup. GARIC and HEBERT will follow HEBERT's father BOBBY and DEKE BELLAVIA's existing "SPORTS TALK" on the weekday schedule.
