The NHL's FLORIDA PANTHERS have inked a renewal with CBS RADIO Sports WQAM-A/MIAMI. All PANTHERS games will once again air on WQAM, which CBS acquired from BEASLEY in their multi-market swap last year. RANDY MOLLER wil be returning to call the action, and the station will air 30-minute pre-game shows and 15-minute post-game shows, plus weekly updates and interviews with players and coach GERARD GALLANT, and a SATURDAY morning "PANTHERS INSIDER" show hosted by MOLLER. WQAM will also do remotes from the team's BB&T CENTER arena in SUNRISE and sister Country WKIS and Top 40/Rhythmic WPOW (POWER 96) will offer promotional support.
“We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with CBS RADIO MIAMI to continue broadcasting PANTHERS games on SPORTS RADIO 560 WQAM,” said PANTHERS Executive Chairman PETER LUUKKO. “We are once again excited to work with the station’s well-known, passionate and knowledgeable radio personalities. SPORTS RADIO 560 WQAM has been a strong supporter of PANTHERS hockey and we look forward to continuing to build on our mutually beneficial partnership.”
New CBS RADIO MIAMI and ORLANDO SVP/Market Manager STEVE CARVER said, “The PANTHERS have been an exciting addition to our lineup and we’re thrilled to continue our broadcast agreement. We look forward to expanding the partnership to include coverage across our entire portfolio of stations that reach a large cross-section of the MIAMI audience.”
