Publisher BIG DEAL MUSIC has launched GLOBAL MUSIC INITIATIVES, a new service within the publisher’s offerings aimed to maximize opportunities for their songwriters and artists. Industry veteran MARK TINDLE has been hired to launch the initiative, which will leverage data and emerging technologies to discover and develop traditional and non-traditional partnerships in order to better serve their roster.
“We recognize there are untapped opportunities that can greatly benefit the exposure and profile of a songwriter and their music that are only revealed through reading the tea leaves,” BIG DEAL MUSIC Pres. KENNY MACPHERSON said. “This new department will leverage available social and digital market insights and big data to mine and discover where we can go to develop new ventures for our music. TINDLE brings years of experience and relationships within both data and music to our team.”
TINDLE most recently was MUSICMETRIC’s SVP/Sales & Business Development for NORTH AMERICA, and has also worked as SVP/GM of NIELSEN ENTERTAINMENT’s music division, and a handful of radio promotion titles at A&M RECORDS.
“I want to thank KENNY and the BIG DEAL MUSIC team for bringing me on board,” TINDLE said. “BIG DEAL has an amazing roster of songwriting talent, as well as an awesome business team who are dedicated and passionate about the artists they serve. I’m thrilled to be working on behalf of music creators and looking forward to making things happen!”
