ALL ACCESS congratulates the UMG NASHVILLE crew and CAPITOL’s LUKE BRYAN for hitting #1 on both the all-genre and Country album charts with “Kill The Lights,” which moved 345,000 equivalent album units its first week. According to NIELSEN MUSIC, 320,000 of that number were pure album sales.
Those figures give BRYAN the biggest sales week for a Country album since 2013 – when his own “Crash My Party” sold 528,000 copies in its first week. His success with “Kill The Lights" also gives BRYAN the third-largest sales week of 2015 so far, trailing only DRAKE’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” (535,000 overall; 495,000 album sales) and KENDRICK LAMAR’s “To Pimp A Butterfly” (363,000 units; 324,000 Album sales).
