Data Reveals Time Spent Listening In NextRadio App Is More Than Double Traditional Radio And Other Music Apps

NEXTRADIO has found that consumers are listening to radio in the NEXTRADIO app nearly twice as long as over-the-air station listening. New data indicates consumers’ Time Spent Listening is:
- 10.3 minutes in traditional radio
- 8.9 minutes in music apps
NIELSEN’s recent media behavior report points out that more than 93% of Americans listen to radio each week. Diving further, the NIELSEN data shows that the fastest growing device on which consumers listen to radio is a smartphone, with roughly 36% of consumers in the U.S. listening to music through their smartphone.
