Rdio Introduces 'Promoted Music Experiences' In Hard Rock Partnership

RDIO today launched PROMOTED MUSIC EXPERIENCES (PMEs) – an advertising "solution" that "seamlessly connects brands with music fans through its personalized listener experience." RDIO has partnered with HARD ROCK HOTELS & CASINOS for the initiative.
The PMEs package inspires listener engagement with brands by tapping into three of RDIO’s core features:
• BRANDED STATIONS: RDIO’s in-house curation team will collaborate with advertising partners to create a station featuring songs that exemplify a brand’s personality and voice. The branded stations will be spotlighted to listeners and will be available on both the free, ad-supported streaming radio service and paid subscriptions.
• BRANDED PROFILES: Advertising partners will have the ability to customize their own branded profiles which will display featured content developed in collaboration with RDIO’s team of curators. The branded profiles will be promoted to listeners and will be available on both the free, ad-supported streaming radio service and paid subscriptions.
• BRANDED HOME STORIES: Curated stations, custom artwork and company information will be integrated into HOME, RDIO’s personalized feed of music recommendations, and will be promoted to listeners on the free, ad-supported service.
Through the use of curation and native promotional placement, the RDIO PMEs program provides advertisers with a number of opportunities to use its catalog of over 35 million songs to communicate their brand voice to music fans around the world.

The HARD ROCK branded station will offer fans a variety of listening experiences, from stations curated to highlight emerging artists and tunes that reflect different destinations to unique sounds from around the globe. Curated by HARD ROCK’s team of VIBE managers and music experts, the branded page will serve as a central music hub where fans can connect with the brand from anywhere at any time.
The RDIO and HARD ROCK PME partnership is part of a yearlong agreement between the two brands with additional corporate partners to be announced.
