WWCD LTD. Alternative WWCD (CD102.5)/COLUMBUS, OH celebrates the 23rd annual "ANDYMAN-A-THON" starting FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11th at 7p through SUNDAY, DECEMBER 13th at 7p. Begun in 1992 by former longtime PD/afternooner ANDYMAN DAVIS, the ANDYMAN-A-THON has raised more than $1,000,000 in the past 22 years.
CD102.5 DJs will continue ANDYMAN’s tradition by encouraging listeners to call the studio and request songs to be played in exchange for donations to CD102.5 FOR THE KIDS, a charity designed to support local charities that are committed to helping children and families in need throughout CENTRAL OHIO. Donations will be collected throughout the weekend of DECEMBER 11th-13th.
“The ANDYMAN-A-THON is our way of connecting the radio station with our community and helping those most at need and vulnerable: the children of CENTRAL OHIO," said RANDY MALLOY, Owner/President of CD102.5. "We are proud to be celebrating our 23rd year of this wonderful event, which is our single largest fundraiser of the year."
CD102.5 also will be hosting an auction on eBAY; auction items include items signed by DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, THE BLACK KEYS, CHRISSIE HYNDE FROM THE PRETENDERS, CAGE THE ELEPHANT, and THE 1975.
In addition to CD102.5's annual ANDYMAN-A-THON, 2015 marks the 3rd year CD102.5 has teamed up with COLUMBUS BREWING COMPANY to bring listeners ANDYMAN ALE, a strong American ale brewed to honor its namesake. All proceeds benefit CD102.5 FOR THE KIDS. A list of where ANDYMAN ALE is being served can be found here. Visit CD1025.com for more details on how you can help.
