STEELY DAN front man DONALD FAGEN was arrested on MONDAY for allegedly shoving his wife, singer LIBBY TITUS, into a marble window frame, and now she's filing for divorce, according to the NEW YORK POST's Page Six.
FAGEN was apparently arguing with his wife when he grabbed her by the arms and pushed her to the ground, said the police. The crime complaint said FAGEN attacked TITUS “by placing his hands on her arms and rapidly extending his arms in the direction of said frame, causing her to fall onto the frame and suffer bruising and swelling to her right arm, as well as substantial pain.”
TITUS suffered a bruised arm with a raised bump. “I don’t feel good,” she told THE POST. “I’m very tired and I’m divorcing my husband.”
The alleged assault occurred at 5:30p (ET) inside the couple’s UPPER EAST SIDE MANHATTAN apartment on E. 92nd St., court papers show.
FAGEN was arraigned this morning in MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT on one count each of assault and harassment and released without bail. An order of protection was issued in favor of his wife.
TITUS is also a successful singer and songwriter best known for the self-titled folk-rock album produced by music legends PAUL SIMON and CARLY SIMON.
