CBS Radio Makes Exec Changes In Chicago, Brings In Tim Pohlman As SVP/Market Manager

TIM POHLMAN has been named SVP/Market Manager of CBS RADIO’s operations in CHICAGO, reporting to COO SCOTT HERMAN. POHLMAN has served as the SVP/Market Manager of CBS RADIO/PHOENIX for the past six years. POHLMAN will manage all operations for the market’s stations including Country WUSN, News WBBM-A/WCFS, Top 40 WBBM, Classic Hits WJMK, Sports WSCR-A, and Triple A WXRT. POHLMAN’s replacement in PHOENIX will be announced at a later date.

Former SVP/Market Mgr. ROD ZIMMERMAN and VP/Dir. Sales MARK DAY exited YESTERDAY (1/6). ROBERT FEDER reports the duo, "have been forced out in the wake of revenue declines at the seven-station group they headed," adding COO SCOTT HERMAN, "disclosed the moves WEDNESDAY in a meeting with local department managers. He cited the disappointing financial performance of the CHICAGO group under ZIMMERMAN and DAY, according to several of those present."
