JOURNAL News-Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE is airing a special this weekend about the WISCONSIN story that spawned the NETFLIX series "MAKING A MURDERER."
"WTMJ PRESENTS: BEYOND MAKING A MURDERER" will air SATURDAY (1/9) 7-9p (repeated SUNDAY 11a-1p), accompanied by an online component with more news and details about the case of STEVEN AVERY, whose prosecution for murder after being exonerated of a sexual assault for which he had been previously convicted and served 18 years in prison has raised an outcry nationwide.
“The story of STEVEN AVERY is not only a big story in our backyard but also a story of national significance. WTMJ is WISCONSIN’s Radio Station and we are leading the way with exclusive interviews and expanded local coverage to advance the story,” said VP/GM TOM LANGMYER.
“WISCONSIN’s Radio Station is working to go beyond the documentary to talk with the people involved in the case and give our audience updated information,” said WTMJ Program Manager ERIC BROOKS. “We are talking with family members, justices, jurors, law enforcement, and prosecutors to learn everything new we can. WTMJ is providing content for not only our WISCONSIN audience, but for those interested worldwide."
