IMAGEMMUSIC has entered a new multi-year publishing administration agreement with STEVE MILLER's catalogue SAILOR MUSIC and SILK STOCKING MUSIC. The deal, effective JANUARY 1st, 2016, is for the world excluding NORTH AMERICA. The news coincides with the announcement that MILLER will be inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME later this year.
Having released 21 albums, from their debut "Children Of The Future," through to "Sailor," "Brave New World," "Your Saving Grace," "The Joker," "Fly Like An Eagle" and "Book Of Dreams," MILLER's catalog has sold more than 60 million albums worldwide with songs like "Fly Like An Eagle," "Jet ARiliner," "Take The Money And Run," "The Joker," "Rock'n Me," "Abracadabra," "Livin' Im The U.S.A." and "Space Cowboy," among many others.
IMAGEM GROUP CEO ANDRE DE RAAFF commented: "I know STEVE personally since the beginning of the '90s, releasing his 'Best Of' album in EUROPE, when I was CEO of ARCADE and was looking after his music publishing catalog in EUROPE. We stayed friends and started doing business again a few years ago. I'm pleased that we are going to look after his catalog on a more global basis and I'm convinced that we will be extremely successful with his timeless compositions. STEVE is one of the best U.S. pop composers of our times and an exceptional guitar player as well. JANICE [GINSBERG MILLER] is a unique force in reactivating his extremely valuable music assets."
SAILOR MUSIC AND RECORDS President MILLER added: "We have been working successfully the last few years with CTM/IMAGEM in the BENELUX and are very pleased to have the opportunity to expand our publishing administration to multiple territories with IMAGEM, especially looking forward to working with ANDRE and his expert team."
