VIACOM cut the compensation of Chairman SUMNER REDSTONE and CEO PHILIPPE DAUMAN in 2015, the company said WEDNESDAY (1/20). The cuts were disclosed in the wake of a shareholder suit and report criticizing the company over whether REDSTONE is actually in control of the operation and CBS CORP.
BROADCASTING AND CABLE reports that REDSTONE's total compensation was down 85% in 2015 to $2 million; DAUMAN saw his bonus drop 30% to $14 million, while his salary rose slightly from $3.9 million to $4 million and his equity award fell by a million to $18.9 million.
