Media Monitors Jan. Primary/Caucus Radio Ad Spending: Fiorina Buys Heavy In Des Moines, Clinton Edges Sanders in New Hampshire

MEDIA MONITORS' latest update on primary election and caucus radio advertising spending in NEW HAMPSHIRE and IOWA shows a surprise leader in the latter, with CARLY FIORINA's Super PAC buying 399 spots on DES MOINES radio during JANUARY 1st-2th4, just ahead of HILLARY CLINTON's 326 spots, BERNIE SANDERS with 248 spots, TED CRUZ with 125 spots bought by his campaign and 48 by his Super PAC KEEP THE PROMISE, and DONALD TRUMP with 129 spots.
MARCO RUBIO was the beneficiary of only 21 spots purchased by THE CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS PAC. Another Super PAC, PURSUING AMERICA'S GREATNESS, ran 23 spots supporting MIKE HUCKABEE and 28 against CRUZ; AMERICANS UNITED FOR VALUES ran 21 anti-CRUZ spots.
In NEW HAMPSHIRE, CLINTON led the pack with 1,427 spots so far, and SANDERS was next with 1,097 spots in the PORTSMOUTH-DOVER market. The CONSERVATIVE SOLUTIONS PAC bought 29 pro-RUBIO spots and 512 anti-CHRIS CHRISTIE ads. TRUMP bought 103 spots and CRUZ 84; the AMERICAN LEADS PAC supported CHRISTIE with 58 spots and the NEW JERSEY governor bought 24 of his own, while CRUZ benefited from 46 spots bought by KEEP THE PROMISE and 39 run by COURAGEOUS CONSERVATIVES.
