CMA Hires Meryl Johnson As Dir./Digital Strategy

The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) has hired MERYL JOHNSON for the role of Dir./Digital Strategy, effective immediately. She will develop and manage CMA's digital presence, which includes the website, mobile platforms, digital partnerships, video distribution, database development, and digital initiatives for CMA-TV properties and live events.
JOHNSON joins CMA from WARNER BROS. PICTURES, where she was Dir./Digital Marketing, and previously she spent time at FOCUS FEATURES, NBC UNIVERSAL, CLEAR CHANNEL BROADCASTING and CUMULUS BROADCASTING.
"MERYL has a proven track record for creating successful digital campaigns and partnerships across radio, film, and television," said CMA SVP/Marketing and Strategic Partnerships DAMON WHITESIDE. "Having someone on our team with her unique experience in entertainment is key as we leverage new and existing digital platforms and strategies for heightening the awareness of Country music."
