Former Dallas, L.A. Consumer Advice Talk Host Benjamin Dover Passes Away At 57

Condolences to family and friends of former DALLAS-FORT WORTH and LOS ANGELES radio and television consumer affairs and financial advice host and reporter BENJAMIN DOVER, who died JANUARY 1st of pneumonia in FORT WORTH at 57, according to an obituary published on JANUARY 31st in the FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM.
DOVER, born LANCE BLUMEN, became a consumer and financial advocate after a near-fatal motorcycle accident in 1989; he hosted shows on KLIF-A/DALLAS in 1992-2000, KFI-A/LOS ANGELES in 2001-03, and KRLD-A/DALLAS in 2004-05. He wrote a column for the DALLAS MORNING NEWS in 1998-2004, appeared regularly on TV's "MIKE AND MATY" and "THE LEEZA GIBBONS SHOW," and reported for several TV stations.
