EKO MEDIA GROUP Spanish WSPG-A/SPARTANBURG, SC will flip to Sports as FOX SPORTS 1400 SPARTANBURG "within the next few weeks," reports the SPARTANBURG HERALD JOURNAL.

The local sports show "OPEN MIC DAILY," which aired on the station in a prior incarnation as ESPN SPARTANBURG before WSPG was knocked off the air by a fallen tree and then aired on crosstown DAVIDSON MEDIA GROUP Classic Hits WOLI-A-W289BS (THE SOURCE @105.7 FM/910 AM)/SPARTANBURG, SC, will air on WSPG in afternoons, and former WSPG GM and "OPEN MIC DAILY" co-host MARK HAUSER told the paper that the group taking over programming, FOX SPORTS SPARTANBURG LLC, is applying to buy the station outright.
