A federal judge has denied NIELSEN AUDIO's motion for summary judgment in its lawsuit alleging nonpayment of license fees by FLINN BROADCASTING CORP.
NIELSEN sued FLINN on DECEMBER 14th in BALTIMORE CITY Circuit Court; after FLINN got the case moved to U.S. District Court for MARYLAND, NIELSEN added a motion for summary judgment. In a letter to counsel, Judge ELLEN LIPTON HOLLANDER rejected the motion, calling the motion "premature," although NIELSEN may resubmit the motion later.
The suit alleges that FLINN did not pay fees totaling $136,872.88 due under a 2013 contract for ratings in the MEMPHIS market, plus late fees at 1.5% per month ($16.287.12 through MARCH 14th, 2016) and attorney's fees of $22,974.
