Cumulus Takes One Back From Trust In South Carolina

CUMULUS spinoff entity JOULE BROADCASTING LLC is sending Urban AC WTYB (MAGIC 103.9)/BLUFFTON, SC back to CUMULUS LICENSING LLC; WTYB's changed community of license (formerly TYBEE ISLAND, GA) has moved the station from the SAVANNAH market to the HILTON HEAD, SC market, thus allowing CUMULUS to take the station back. It had been placed in what was then the VOLT RADIO, LLC trust (the name was changed to JOULE upon EDDIE ESSERMAN's appointment as new trustee in 2013) as part of the divestiture prompted by the merger with CITADEL BROADCASTING.
In other filings with the FCC, CALDWELL COUNTY CBC, INC. (COMMONWEALTH BROADCASTING) is selling Classic Hits WPKY-A (THE TIGER)/PRINCETON, KY and CHARLES M. ANDERSON is transferring W277CK/PRINCETON, KY to TIGER MEDIA, LLC for a total of $135,200 to CCC. The previously-announced sale preserves local programming on the station after COMMONWEALTH flipped it to a simulcast of WWKY (HOWDY 97.7)/EVANSVILLE last year.
BEVERLY BROADCASTING CO., LLC is selling Classic Hits WQLA-A/LA FOLLETTE, TN to RON MEREDITH's CLINTON BROADCASTERS, INC. for $22,500.
FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. is selling K201IU/FAIRMONT, MN to SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF IOWA, LLC for $35,000.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling W290CN/BIRMINGHAM, AL to the Board of Trustees of the UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM for $100,000.
INDIANA COMMUNITY RADIO CORPORATION is selling W254AP/RUSHVILLE, IN to DELMAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $40,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Classic Hits-AC WDLR-A/DELAWARE, OH.
