CBS RADIO Sports WIP/PHILADELPHIA will be the exclusive radio home for PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES baseball under a new deal that ends the team's previous simulcast on WIP and sister News-Talk WPHT-A.
The deal's terms and duration were not disclosed; SCOTT FRANZKE, LARRY "L.A." ANDERSON and JIM JACKSON will continue to call the games, and half-hour pre- and post-game shows ("LEADING OFF" and "THE FINAL OUT") will also continue, as will occasional WIP broadcasts from the NOVACARE-sponsored booth in the concourse at CITIZENS BANK PARK.
"This is an exciting time for the future of PHILLIES baseball," said PHILLIES SVP/Marketing and Advertising Sales DAVID BUCK. "Thanks to our long-time partner CBS RADIO, fans will be able to follow all of the action from spring training through the regular season on SPORTSRADIO 94WIP."
CBS RADIO SVP/Market Manager DAVID YADGAROFF added, "We are happy to continue the tradition of broadcasting PHILLIES baseball. SPORTS 94WIP is proud to be the radio home of the fightin' PHILS and we look forward to an exciting 2016 season."
