Milwaukee Progressives Target Conservative Talk Radio

A group of MILWAUKEE liberals are seeking to get time on MILWAUKEE Talk radio or buy a station to air their views, according to MILWAUKEE JOURNAL-SENTINEL columnist JAMES CAUSEY.
"RADIO-ACTIVE!," a campaign by CITIZEN ACTION OF WISCONSIN, is upset that five conservative hosts on SCRIPPS News-Talk WTMJ-A and iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WISN-A/MILWAUKEE dominate Talk ratings over hosts on the sole "progressive" AM talk station, COURIER Urban-News-Talk WNOV-A (THE VOICE), and held a fundraising event on FEBRUARY 8th at which a loop of WISN's MARK BELLING's commentaries was played to "fire up the group."
CAUSEY reports that the group says that it will "monitor right-wing radio programming, document its rhetoric and use of offensive words. Then it will demand accountability from the advertisers and corporations that own these stations." It is also seeking to raise money to either buy time for liberal talk hosts or buy a station to air liberal shows.
