Report: Doctor's Assessment Finds Sumner Redstone Incapable Of Making Financial, Health Care Decisions
February 23, 2016 at 4:09 AM (PT)
The assessment of SUMNER REDSTONE's condition by a doctor appointed in the case brought by the former VIACOM/CBS Chairman's ex-girlfriend MANUELA HERZER will show that REDSTONE does not have the mental capacity to make his own financial and health care decisions, reports THE WALL STREET JOURNAL.
A heavily redacted report of the JANUARY 29th assessment by Dr STEPHEN READ was entered into the court record to back HERZER's claims that her firing as REDSTONE's representative was improper.
Meanwhile, INSTITUTIONAL SHAREHOLDER SERVICES has announced its opposition to the re-election of BLYTHE MCGARVIE, CHARLES PHILLIPS JR., FREDERIC SALERNO, WILLIAM SCHWARTZ, DEBORAH NORVILLE and CHRISTIANA FALCONE SORRELL to VIACOM's board, objecting to the award of $17 million in equity to CEO PHILIPPE DAUMAN and the over-representation of board members with ties to the REDSTONE family and/or VIACOM management.
