WISCONSIN PUBLIC RADIO's long running quiz show "MICHAEL FELDMAN'S WHAD'YA KNOW?" is being canceled after 31 years, reports the WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL. The show will end on JUNE 25th, with WPR's MIKE CRANE telling the paper that the show had become too expensive to produce given a syndication client roster of 100 stations, down from a peak of 330 stations 15 years ago.
Host and creator MICHAEL FELDMAN told the JOURNAL that his bid to downsize the show to keep it running was rejected but that he was given an opportunity to come back to WPR if he has an idea that "makes sense to them." The show will do remote broadcasts from CLEVELAND and EAU CLAIRE before the final broadcast at the MONONA TERRACE.
