BONNEVILLE Sports KIRO-A (710 ESPN)/SEATTLE will continue to serve as the flagship radio station for SEATTLE MARINERS baseball under a new multiyear contract extension, the team and station announced TODAY (3/10). The M'S have aired on 710 since it flipped to all-Sports in 2009 and also served as flagship in 1985-2002 (crosstown KVI-A carried the MARINERS in 1977-84 and KOMO-A had the games in 2003-08).
“BONNEVILLE has been our radio home for 25 of our 39 years, and we are happy to continue our long and successful partnership with 710 ESPN SEATTLE and the BONNEVILLE stations,” said M'S President/COO KEVIN MATHER.
"BONNEVILLE’s mission is to connect our community by providing original, local content that NORTHWEST people care about deeply,” said BONNEVILLE SEATTLE MEDIA GROUP VP/GM CARL GARDNER. “Nothing fits that description better than MARINERS baseball, so we are delighted to continue our long, storied partnership with the SEATTLE MARINERS.”
“We are excited to continue our proud partnership with the MARINERS,” said PD MIKE SALK. “We couldn’t be happier to continue broadcasting MARINERS games and partnering with this great organization. The future is bright.”
