iHEARTMEDIA has named MIKE KILLABREW SVP/Programming for INDIANAPOLIS -- including Country WUBG and Sports Talk WNDE-A -- and PD of Classic Rock WFBQ (Q95) and Alternative WOLT (ALT 103-3). KILLABREW replaces ROB CRESSMAN, now at HUBBARD Classic Hits WDRV (THE DRIVE)/CHICAGO (NET NEWS 1/26). KILLABREW moves from iHEARTMEDIA/DES MOINES where he was PD of Alternative KDXA (ALT 106.3) and Sports KXNO-A (1460 KXNO DES MOINES' SPORTS STATION).
“With more than two decades of programming experience at the local level, MIKE understands the importance of aligning our on-air, digital content, and marketing strategies across all platforms,” said iHEARTMEDIA’s KENTUCKY-INDIANA Region President EARL JONES. “His vision and enthusiasm to work with this team will help us reach the next level as we continue to position our incredible brand and product as a leader in the industry.”
iHEARTMEDIA/INDIANAPOLIS Regional SVP/Programming MICHAEL JORDAN added, "MIKE’s programming knowledge and drive to create unique listener opportunities will be a great asset to INDIANAPOLIS. “His ability to link our national capabilities to our local assets gives us a huge competitive advantage when it comes to driving ratings and revenue.”
KILLABREW has more than 20 years of experience. Prior to DES MOINES, he held a variety of programming positions at several iHEARTMEDIA stations in FLORIDA, including WXTB, WDAE-A and WHNZ-A/TAMPA, as well as WZTA/MIAMI.
“I’ve programmed, lead, and have been fortunate to be a part of amazing teams throughout my career, and I can’t wait to get things rolling in INDIANAPOLIS,” said KILLABREW. “We are a solid cluster and we will work with each other to become even better.”
