Justin Timberlake Goes Country? Writing With Little Big Town

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has held a flirtatious affair with Country music since his childhood debut on "Star Search," and rumors of an impending JT Country project have only ramped up since his show-stopping collaboration with MERCURY NASHVILLE artist CHRIS STAPLETON during NOVEMBER's "49TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS" (NET NEWS 11/2/2015). TIMBERLAKE is apparently back in the studio, according to his social media outlets, and TODAY (3/21) he shared a photo via INSTAGRAM of a writing session with CAPITOL NASHVILLE group LITTLE BIG TOWN.
"[No big deal]," captioned TIMBERLAKE. "Just writing with LITTLE BIG TOWN. This band is the truth! So good!" LBT re-shared the photo, but no further comments were offered. TIMBERLAKE is originally from MEMPHIS, TN and has purchased property in the FRANKLIN, TN area. While TIMBERLAKE has also shared shots of a studio meeting with producer and NBC-TV's "The Voice" coach PHARRELL, TIMBERLAKE's musical-bestie TIMBALAND told TMZ that he and JT would absolutely be interested in making a Country record. "We are country!" TIMBALAND told TMZ. "He's from TENNESSEE, and I'm from VIRGINIA!" TIMBERLAKE's "Drink You Away" peaked on the MEDIABASE Country singles chart at 66 but is still seeing airplay in select markets.
All the pieces are in place for TIMBERLAKE to make a Country album. Or, he could just be drinking from the pool of writing talent in NASHVILLE. Either way, our curiosities are piqued, and we would venture to guess those most excited are your target females, age 25-34.
