iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KALZ-F-KRZR-A (POWERTALK 96.7 and AM 1400)/FRESNO and the FRESNO BEE are sponsoring a debate between the three candidates for CALIFORNIA's 31st District State Assembly seat on WEDNESDAY (3/23). POWERTALK host TREVOR CAREY and the BEE's BILL MCEWEN and JOHN ELLIS will moderate the face-off between Democrats JOAQUIN ARAMBULA and TED MILLER and Republican CLINT OLIVIER at PARDINI'S CATERING AND BANQUETS; the debate will air live 4-6p (PT), with pre-debate coverage starting at 3p.
“There’s nothing more important than who will be our voice, our representative for the CENTRAL VALLEY in SACRAMENTO,” said CAREY. “This debate presents voters a unique chance to vet the candidates -- to see, hear, and question them on crucial issues like water, high speed rail, agriculture, and education.”
"We are excited about this opportunity to participate with POWERTALK in this important debate in the campaign for the 31st Assembly District seat," said BEE Exec. Editor JIM BOREN. "Voters in the special election will get to hear the candidates respond to the issues facing residents of the district."
“Following on our debate of the FRESNO Mayoral candidates on MARCH 6th, this debate expands POWERTALK’s mission to bring meaningful discussion, across multiple platforms, of all the critical issues facing the CENTRAL VALLEY. This is live, local radio at its very best," said POWERTALK PD JAY BOHANNON.
