The generator on REVEREND HORTON HEAT’s tour bus generator caught fire on I-5 in OCEANSIDE, CA, filling the bus’ interior with smoke. Thankfully, band and crew escaped quickly without injury.
The band had performed earlier last night (3/22) at THE WHISKEY in LOS ANGELES and were on their way to SAN DIEGO to perform at the BELLY UP tonight.
“We are all okay," JIM “THE REV” HEATH said. "It was scary at first but the CAMP PENDLETON guys got their firefighters over to us pretty quick. Thanks to them, not much of anything got ruined. The inside filled with smoke in less than a minute after I smelled something. That was scary but we all are okay. The gear was in a trailer so it’s safe, but the bus is totaled.”
