FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling W233BW/ROMNEY, IN to IMPACT RADIO, LLC for $20,000. The buyer plans to relocate the translator to rebroadcast Oldies WQCT-A/BRYAN, OH.
In other filings with the FCC, GEORGIA EAGLE MEDIA, INC. has requested a Silent STA for WSYL-A/SYLVANIA, GA after a landscaper clipped a guy wire and the station's tower collapsed onto the studio building.
LEATHERSTOCKING MEDIA GROUP, INC. has closed on the sale of SYRACUSE-area market Classic Hits WMCR-F (MIX 106)/ONEIDA, NY, and Classic Hits WSEN-F/BALDWINSVILLE, NY, to FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. for $2.5 million. WSEN's format and lineup have moved to merge with crosstown GALAXY Classic Hits WZUN (SUNNY 102), with GALAXY's Country WOLF-F (WOLF 105.1) moving to the 92.1 signal as 92.1 THE WOLF, and FAMILY LIFE taking the 105.1 signal.
And PALMETTO MEDIA PARTNERS, LLC has closed on the sale of W243CO/ELLOREE, SC to KIRKMAN BROADCASTING, INC. for $110,000 and W254BK/HOLLY HILL, SC to the same buyer for $137,500. The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast News-Talk WQSC-A/CHARLESTON, SC and Sports WQNT-A (SPORTS RADIO 1450)/CHARLESTON, SC, respectively.
The Commission also denied FRANK VAQUERA, SR.'s Petition for Reconsideration of the grant of a license to cover for CASTLE HOLDINGS, LLC's KPTJ/GRAPE CREEK, TX. VAQUERA challenged the grant over his contention that CASTLE failed to satisfy a Special Operating Condition involving RF measurements and safety signs at the station's site, using instead a computr model.
