Four Texas Stations Sold In Spin-off From Newspaper Chain

MARSHALL ANSTANDIG , trustee for AFFILIATED MEDIA, INC. FCC TRUST, the trust spinning off the GRAHAM NEWSPAPERS, INC. stations in TEXAS acquired by newspaper chain MEDIANEWS GROUP, INC. (now DIGITAL FIRST), is selling Country KLXK (K-LAKES) and AC KROO-A/BRECKENRIDGE, TX and Classic Hits KWKQ (Q94.7) and Classic Country KSWA-A/GRAHAM, TX to PALO PINTO COMMUNICATIONS, LP for $95,400. The deal also sells the GRAHAM LEADER, JACKSBORO GAZETTE-NEWS, THE JACK COUNTY HERALD, OLNEY ENTERPRISE, BRECKENRIDGE AMERICAN, LAKE COUNTY SUN, and BURLESON STAR to PALO PINTO for a price redacted from the contract filed with the FCC, and provides for a "Transitional Services Agreement" under which the seller will program the station for the buyer during a transitional period.
In other filings with the FCC, FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. is selling W222AH/CORTLAND, NY to ASTRAKEL INTERNATIONAL LTD. for $50,000.
MERCER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE is selling W300AC/CHATSWORTH, NJ to RADIO SHARON FOUNDATION for $28,300.
RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. is selling W258BX/ST. SIMONS, GA to ALPHA MEDIA LICENSEE LLC for $40,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports WRNN-A (ESPN MYRTLE BEACH)/MYRTLE BEACH, SC.
INDIANA COMMUNITY RADIO CORPORATION is selling W266CR/HENDERSON, KY and W263CV/EVANSVILLE, KY to GRACE MEDIA, INC./NEW ENGLAND COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $60,000. The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast Religion WBXR-A/HAZEL GREEN-HUNTSVILLE, AL and Religion WLMR-A/CHATTANOOGA, TN, respectively.
SOUTH TEXAS FM INVESTMENTS, LLC has requested a Silent STA for KZAM/PLEASANT VALLEY, TX due to loss of its programming source.
CRAWFORD BROADCASTING's KLZ RADIO, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for Religion KLVZ-A/BRIGHTON-DENVER, CO while it develops a new programming format.
BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for WPON-A/WALLED LAKE, MI while it builds its new facility.

Also, a complaint has been filed against a low-power FM alleging that the station airs nothing but non-local programming in contravention of LPTV rules. The SIERRA STAR reports that a petition filed by STAR columnist and former radio executive PETER CAVANAUGH alleges that RADIO CATHOLIC Religion KOLS-LP/OAKHURST, CA airs nothing but EWTN Catholic programming around the clock.
