CUMULUS Sports KNBR-A/SAN FRANCISCO morning host BRIAN MURPHY and PAUL MCCAFFREY helped the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS' ANDRE IGUODALA pull an early APRIL FOOL'S prank on teammate FESTUS EZELI as part of LYFT's "Prank Mode" video promotion.
The prank began by having EZELI, getting a ride from a LYFT car, hear a faked MURPH AND MAC segment on the car radio saying "Two sources close to the WARRIORS say that backup center FESTUS EZELI will be released from his contract." The radio announcement was quickly followed by teammates and assistant coach LUKE WALTON, prompted by IGUODALA, texting their sorrow and regards to EZELI. IGUODALA then had the car pull over so he could reveal the prank.
