A Couple Of Closings In Quiet Day For FCC Database
April 5, 2016 at 3:56 AM (PT)
After a sustained flow of transactions fueled by FM translator sales, the FCC transactions database quieted down TODAY (4/5), with the only new filing the previously-reported sale by MURPHY COMMUNICATIONS INSTITUTE, INC. of noncommercial Variety KMUR/BULLHEAD CITY, AZ to CHRISTMAS BRICK FOUNDATION for $500,000.
But the database did show a few closings of previously filed deals, including LIGHTHOUSE RADIO GROUP closing on the sale of Smooth Jazz KYSJ (105.9 THE WAVE)/COOS BAY, OR to HUNT BROADCASTING, LLC for $135,000.
And INDIANA COMMUNITY RADIO CORP. has closed on the sale of W254AP/RUSHVILLE, IN to DELMAR COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for $40,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Classic Hits-AC WDLR-A/DELAWARE, OH.
