BROADWAY MEDIA Top 40 KUDD (MIX 107.9 & 103.9)/SALT LAKE CITY received a Class C Full Market signal, with signal upgrade on MARCH 31st, 2016. The upgrade, along with a move to their new frequency at 105.1, increases their market reach to listeners along the WASATCH FRONT and is the latest in a series of upgrades which also include a new broadcast house and state of the art studios.
KUDD was formerly transmitted on two Full C Class Rim Shot signals airing on two frequencies, 107.9 FM and 103.9 FM. The transmitter for 107.9 FM is located on HUMPY PEAK with the signal coming in from the East. The transmitter for 103.9 FM is located on BALDY MOUNTAIN with the signal coming in from the South. With the frequency change to 105.1 FM, KUDD became a Class C Full Market signal, with the transmitter located on FARNSWORTH PEAK which will increase and maximize the station’s overall market reach.
To promote in advance and following the KUDD frequency change to 105.1, MIX has undertaken an aggressive marketing campaign, utilizing all traditional medias as well as a massive social media campaign. The station is also giving away over $20,000 in cash to their listeners to celebrate this change, with an opportunity to win $1,000,000. Listeners were informed of the frequency move from 107.9 and 103.9 with daily countdown liners, letting them know how many days were left before the big move. MIX will also simulcast the first two weeks post-move on both 107.9/103.9 and 105.1, to make sure there are no listeners left behind.
