Is There A Carrie Underwood And Garth Brooks Duet In Our Future?

In what we hope turns in to a long-running social media story, CARRIE UNDERWOOD's NHL hockey star husband MIKE FISHER was able to fulfill his dream of singing a duet with GARTH BROOKS last NIGHT (4/6). The duet was filmed and sent to UNDERWOOD, who uploaded it to FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM saying, "How is it that my hubby, MIKE, gets to sing with THE GARTH BROOKS before I do? As payback, I think I'll try to see if WAYNE GRETZKY wants to play a pick up hockey game sometime!"
BROOKS begins the video with a dedication to UNDERWOOD before launching in to an acoustic version of "The River." FISHER then enters the frame and joins in -- sharing a surprisingly nice singing voice. Check out the video here.
The social media banter between UNDERWOOD and BROOKS first began toward the beginning of the year as UNDERWOOD shared a video to INSTAGRAM of FISHER singing along to a BROOKS song in the car. Shortly thereafter, BROOKS posted to INSTAGRAM saying, "MIKE, bro, that is AWESOME! I HAVE to call you out after that. NASHVILLE is the last city on the AMERICAN leg of the 'WORLD TOUR.' You and me, on stage, 'The River.' You in?"
UNDERWOOD said publicly that she told FISHER he could not sing with BROOKS before she did. It appears the gauntlet has been thrown down now that the video has surfaced. So, will we see BROOKS on stage at an UNDERWOOD show, or vice versa, in the near future? Stay tuned to INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK. If it happens, cell phones everywhere are sure to be out in full force.
